My research interests are in the area of herbicide interactions in crops, weeds, and soil. Currently, my lab is focusing on fate of cotton herbicides in surface and groundwater; persistence of new classes of peanut herbicides; physiology of herbicide-resistant crops; physiology of acetolactate-synthase inhibiting herbicides on Cyperus spp.; and the integration of herbicide-resistant crops in weed management systems in Georgia, particularly with corn, cotton, and soybean. I am the undergraduate coordinator for Crop and Soil Sciences as well as the instructor for Weed Science (CRSS 4340/6340), Physiology of Herbicide Action (CRSS 8330), Soil-Herbicide Interactions (CRSS 8340), and team teach Pesticide Utilization [(ENTO) (CRSS) 4250/6250], and Toxicology of Industrial and Agricultural Chemicals [PHAR (VEPH) 8920].
