Crop & Soil Sciences: About Us: Alumni
Invest in Our Future
We appreciate your support of the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences. Gifts from alumni and friends ensure the continued vitality of the department as we recruit and retain exceptional students and faculty, while providing first-rate educational opportunities and facilities. We invite you to consider the three funds discussed below.
Your gifts are tax-deductible. Contribute online via secure connection by selecting a link. Gifts of $35 or more entitle you to receive a gift bearing the department's logo in appreciation for your generosity.
Your committment to the department's mission may be expressed by donating to one of the following areas:
- General Fund — This fund supports various department-related activities, facility improvements, and equipment purchases. Its use betters our programs by continually improving the productivity of faculty and staff, as well as the quality of our students' education.
- Crop and Soil Sciences International Study Award — Awards to students from this fund promote travel to professional conferences, provide international experience and supplement campus-based learning with "real world" encounters. Your donation can also make it possible for a student to explore the ecosystems of Costa Rica's diverse environments through enrollment in the CRSS Agro-Ecology in Tropical America course.
- Georgia Agronomist — This fund provides support to undergraduate and graduate student activities, through which we enhance students' educational experience. This goal is attained by using this fund to recruit new students, provide awards to recognize outstanding performance, promote student activities, and encourage student participation at scientific meetings. Also, the fund allows for the purchase of equipment or facilities, ensuring that our students have access to modern technology in the course of their studies.
